Livable Cities wows at WUF9

The Livable Cities team had a successful experience at the 9th session of the World Urban Forum in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia!

Livable Cities partners from ten countries attended the Forum from February 7 - 13 to share their expertise on promoting public spaces, connect with officials, and strategize for the future. 

By the end of the Forum the team made clear: the way we are building our cities is killing people—and better public spaces lead the way to better cities.

Tobacco Control en pointe at WCTOH

Our Tobacco Control and NCD Prevention team had a successful week at the World Conference on Tobacco or Health in Cape Town, South Africa.

The team presented research findings and recommendations to strengthen tobacco policy and reduce the affordability of cigarettes. They also celebrated with the Vietnam Ministry of Health as the Ministry received a Bloomberg Philanthropies award for tobacco control.

Looking beyond nutrition

The four dimensions—economics, environment, culture and personal health—can be mutually supportive and help us to rise above just "nutrition" and adopt diets that are good for us, our communities and our planet."
