In the News: Our First Program has Launched!
We are pleased to announce our first financing program: the Commercial Loan for Energy Efficiency and Renewables (CLEER). In partnership with lending partners Ascentium Capital LLC, Revere Bank and authorized contractors, this program makes it easier and more affordable for businesses throughout Montgomery County to make energy efficiency upgrades and improvements to their commercial properties. The program rounds out the options available to Montgomery County business owners, as CLEER offers loans generally between $10,000 and $250,000.
Types of projects which may be financed include energy efficiency, solar PV and energy storage projects in office, retail, light industrial, multifamily rental properties, and multifamily communities (e.g. condominiums).
CLEER is the first program to be launched as part of our overall mission to increase energy efficiency and renewable energy generation in Montgomery County. This program will also provide support to Montgomery County in its efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
We recognize and appreciate the support of the County Executive and the Montgomery County Council for helping us bring this program to fruition.
Our launch has been featured in the Washington Business Journal! Check it out here.
