Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Course
Begins April 12 in Nampa
Just a Few Seats Left!

Dave O'Connell,  Gene Hamacher, and Gregg Lynde (L-R above) of TechHelp's Operational Excellence (OE) Team will lead our Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) Course beginning April 12, 2018, in Nampa.

Lean Six Sigma (LSS) is a well-known approach to achieving operational excellence that does more than simply improve production processes. LSS combines the process improvement benefits of Lean with the statistical process control (SPC) benefits of Six Sigma. It takes advantage of the “value-added” focus of Lean while maintaining the statistical rigors of Six Sigma. TechHelp’s LSS Green Belt (LSSGB) Workshop Series includes four full-day training sessions with three weeks between sessions for participants to complete project work that is a key part of the LSSGB program.

Location & Dates (8 am – 5 pm Daily)

The class will meet for full-day sessions at the SBDC Nampa Business Accelerator (previously called the TechCenter) in Nampa, ID at 5465 East Terra Linda Way:

  • Session 1 – Thursday, April 12, 2018
  • Session 2 – Thursday, May 3rd
  • Session 3 – Thursday, May 24th
  • Session 4 – Thursday, June 14th

Are You Ready for the Smart Factory?

Responsive, Adaptive, Connected Manufacturing

In January of 2018, TechHelp and Boise State were thrilled to host a presentation by Mr. Tom O'Reilly, Vice President, Global Business Development at Rockwell Automation. Tom opened our eyes to the future of manufacturing with his lecture on the Connected Enterprise (link to an article by McK Schroeder of Boise State).

Recently, Deloitte published an informative article on the emergence of the Smart Factory. Deloitte points out that the smart factory represents a leap forward from more traditional automation to a fully connected and flexible system. Mr. O'Reilly and Deloitte agree that the heart of this transformation is the convergence of Information Technology (IT) and Operations Technology (OT).

With all of the questions and changes regarding tariffs and free trade agreements, now is the perfect time to update your knowledge of NAFTA and other key trade agreements.

Presented by the noted export expert, Mike Allocca, this program will help you be in full compliance with all NAFTA regulations. You will know where to go and what to look for to be able to determine if your products qualify for the benefits of NAFTA. Most companies are exposing themselves unnecessarily to NAFTA penalties. In some cases, your goods have low or zero duty already and therefore no need to expose your company to potential NAFTA violations or to fill out a NAFTA certificate if your goods do not qualify. You will have an overview of the 3 FTA’s (Panama, South Korea, Colombia).

  • When: Thursday, April 12th, 2018 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Location: Holiday Inn Express, 2970 West Elder Street, Boise, ID 83705
