Experience the supportive Greater Phoenix community, dubbed “the most autism-friendly city in the world” by PBS NewsHour, during this two-day First Place Global Leadership Institute symposium. Pioneering organizations from around the globe are gathering with families to share information and learn about taking the next steps in their neighborhoods and communities. Workshops address relevant topics ranging from property design goals and guidelines to housing, community and job development. Fundraising and marketing and communications are also part of the mix. Autism in the Workplace

Hiring initiatives are gaining attention—and momentum—across the country and the world for individuals with autism and other special abilities. CBS News ran a story recently about how companies are learning about this population’s vital and much-needed skill sets and how their potential for becoming valued, long-term employees.
