March 2018

Hi Cap parent meeting on Thursday, March 29 - all are welcome!

Now that the Shoreline Hi Cap Advocacy Group has achieved its two-year milestone, it is time to look at next steps -- by re-evaluating our vision, identifying new goals, and creating a new leadership structure to take us into the next school year and beyond.  Let us know if:
  • You are passionate about advocating for gifted education
  • You desire to make a difference by becoming an active leader in our organization, or
  • You'd like to contribute to our work in other ways
Please join us on Thursday, March 29, at the Richmond Beach Library meeting room (19601-21st Ave. NW) from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.  This will be a great opportunity to also network with other Hi Cap parents in our district.  Hope to see you!

Gifted Ed Day

On February 8, we had over 40 parents and students representing Shoreline in Olympia for Gifted Ed Day festivities.  We connected with other gifted advocates, toured the Capitol Building, and met with the staff of Rep. Javier Valdez, Rep. Ruth Kagi, and Senator Maralyn Chase.  A sincere thanks to those families who made the effort to attend!
