Print edition heading for bookstores

The paperback 100 Days, 100 Grand is on sale!

Dear <<First Name>>,

Cover artThree bits of news this month. First, an update to the 100 Days, 100 Grand Kindle edition is live on Amazon: download it from "Manage your content and devices". (It's free, obvs.) What’s new? Not much. Some typos fixed, some awkward paragraphs reworded. But an uncorrected typo in your work is like an itch you can't scratch, so I scratched it.

Second, there's now a Print Replica edition available: a Kindle version that looks the same as the print book. This won't be for everyone - an A4-sized page doesn't read well on your phone screen, for example - but it does preserve the exact layout and typesetting of the print book, so if you read on a large tablet or laptop you can see the book as nature intended.

And that's the third piece of news. With fewer publishing issues than expected, I'm able to bring forward the paperback launch! Yes, ISBN 978-0-9927470-4-6 will be on your local bookstore's ordering database in a few days, and of course on Amazon too. The official on-sale date is April 1. But if you're in the UK, there's a even better way to buy...

... for the same price, I'm selling copies direct from 100 Days Global HQ (aka "the spare room") - starting TODAY! And if you buy direct, I'll sign each copy with a message of thanks. You'll also get a tax invoice. (Did you know freelancers can write off the cost of the book against taxes? It counts as training materials, after all.) Your choices for buying are here.

BUY 100 DAYS, 100 GRAND!

I'm looking at a printed proof right now, and. . . even if I say so myself, it's pretty damn good. Big gutters to make sure the text doesn't disappear into the spine; wide margins to encourage notemaking; generous line spacing to allow highlights and underlines. I wanted it to be something you can scribble in; it's a workbook, after all. As you'd guess, it's a rather large book, weighing in at nearly 3kg. That's an impressive thump on the desk. If you like things that go thump.

In other words, job done - for now. Many thanks to the design expertise of Michelle Abrahall Design (responsible for original artwork in the book) and Code + Create who stepped in to produce the final cover wrap while the lovely Michelle was wrapped up in something else. Also a major design contributor (although he doesn't know it) is Jackson Cavanaugh of Okay Type, whose beautiful Harriet font is responsible for the look of the book. (Here's the story of the font family 100 Days, 100 Grand uses.)

Lots of other stuff on - I'm currently gauging interest in a little speaking tour of independent booksellers! - but that's all for now. Thanks for your interest in 100 Days, 100 Grand

Chris

PS. Just a note that when the print edition hits Amazon on April 1, the Kindle editions will revert to their RRP of £59.95. So if you were thinking of buying on Kindle only, don't delay.
