WELCOME to the monthly Global Missions Update (formerly the Compassion & Justice Newsletter). This name change better reflects our connection to the Living Water Kingdom Builders Project.

This month we have added two new missionary families who will be serving in "sensitive areas".
What is meant by a "sensitive area? Because of the political situations, the Assemblies of God World Missions (AGWM) has designated some countries as "sensitive." This means that for the safety of missionaries and national Christians, AGWM staff normally will not disclose missionary names or activities in those countries.
Also for safety reasons, missionaries ministering in sensitive countries cannot have their names and information on the Internet. We plan to follow the same protocol in Global Missions Updates.

Missionary family (M...r) serves in a country with dozens of unreached people groups, including many Buddhists. A tour guide would happily show you pagoda after pagoda, day after day, but the people are so much more precious to God and to us. Their passion is to catalyze the Christians in the country - there are some! - to reach the people around them, who have no idea what they're missing.

Missionary family (J...n) has served in Middle East Schools since 2010. Their plans are to return by September and continue working with a school which serves over 600 students. Their family will be the first church planting team in the area under Live Dead. The people need the message of forgiveness and transformation given only through Jesus Christ. Despite all differences, many in this region fall into the same category; spiritually lost people. That is why they are focusing on developing a strategic plan to address concerns here that are not duplicated anywhere else.

HENRY AND JANET MARSH
INTERNATIONAL MEDIA MINISTRIES
|

We are also adding Henry & Janet Marsh to our supported missionaries list. They are veteran missionaries with unique ministries. As an electronic media specialist, Henry has worked on hundreds of missionary media productions, training, and consultation projects in almost 40 countries, involving nearly 50 languages. Janet uses her accounting skills, providing administrative assistance and business expertise. Together, they are serving with International Media Ministries, an AGWM ministry headquartered in Madrid, Spain.
IMM is a team of missionaries and volunteers who are passionate to put Jesus on every screen in the world whether phone, computer, television or tablet. They create media content for use in Africa, Europe, Eurasia, and the Middle East and train nationals to do the same. From short spots to longer dramas, they tell the good news of Jesus Christ. Living Water is very excited to be a part of this ministry.

MINI UPDATES
- Martha Pettenger, mother of missionary Alan Pettenger and former missionary with Vernon in South Africa, went to be with the Lord on February 15.
- Missionaries Thom & Becky Davis have returned to their work with Unsión Television in Cuenca, Ecuador.
- The Myanmar Church Plant has been meeting as a church for one year. The church was able to buy some land with a bamboo house built on it. They were meeting in the house but when more people started coming they found that the bamboo house was not strong enough to hold all the people. Now they meet on a concrete slab in front of the house. The church only has about 11 adult members but over 30 kids that come each week.

Pray
- For our missionaries in sensitive areas as you are led, for their travel safety and general safety in the areas they serve.
- For the people our missionaries serve.
- For the many new buildings under construction ! Praise the Lord !
- For the local pastors who have to work full-time jobs in addition to their church responsibilities.
