Photo Critique - Session One

We need to start at 6pm sharp as we have a lot to discuss in a short period of time.

If you have a photo that you want to get a feel of what others think about it, then bring it to the photo critique.

All you need to do is print a hardcopy (don't mount it but print at least a 5 X7 inch or bigger.) Then put a digital copy onto a USB stick and bring both to the session.

Your image will be handed around the group and everyone will get to write a comment on it. It will then be projected, you can tell us your concept behind creating it and then the group will discuss it.  This is a fantastic way to get a feel of whether you are on the right track with your image creation.

Creating that "Abandon" Look - Session Two

Our competition topic for April is  "Abandoned – Anything". In this session we will look at the types of images that will work and clarify the what is meant by "Abandoned". This topic relate to anything, so there is a huge potential to create some amazing images for the April competition.

Depth of Field (DOF) - Session Three.

This is a hands on session so bring your camera with a zoom lense. We will explain the three key factor to creating DOF in an image then put it into practice. Hopefully at the end of the night, you will have a better understanding of how to get that image in focus from the foreground all the way through to the background or how to soften the background with a great bokeh effect...

So bring your camera, reference a zoom lense. Anything from 18-28mm and zoom out to 120-200mm. If you don't have lenses that falls into this particular range, don't worry.  Just then bring whatever you have in kit and we can still make it  work.

We look forward to seeing you at
the Training Night.
