Come and experience this important film about a Montreal man and his family who travel back to his home village deep in the forests of Malaysia and use GPS technology to help their indigenous people protect their traditional lands from encroaching environmental destruction.
The film will be preceded by "Re Lekuah" by Alena Murang, directed by Ashley Duong, the first-ever music video created in the indigenous Kelabit language of Borneo.

Thank you to everyone who came by VAFF’s Wish Tree booth at the 2018 Lunarfest celebration February 24-25 at the Vancouver Art Gallery Plaza! Hundreds of wishes were cast upon our glowing blossom trees over the weekend. Among those many wishes received and those who signed up for our contact list draw, we’d like to congratulate the very lucky Alli McLaren and Alison Stockbrocks, who each won a pair of tickets to our 22nd annual festival in November!
