Happy Easter!
After the Fizz and the fireworks I welcomed 2018. I’m off to a good start and very excited with some fabulous new designs in my new 2018 collection - I hope you like them. I have been experimenting with Silk Abaca and Buntal which is flexible, lightweight and a very distinctive fabric. It gives a different dimension to my hat collection and gives you even more to choose from! I can’t wait to get your feedback, click here to view my collections.
Sourcing sinamay in 2018 could be difficult for Milliners as the straw needed for the hats is processed in the Philippines and I’m sure you have seen the dreadful storms they have been having this winter. Fingers crossed my suppliers are stocked up!

Easter Berets
I wish you all a Happy Easter.

Have you noticed the Beret is everywhere so it’s not Easter Bonnets this Easter its Easter Berets which are the Egg-cellent choice accessory this season! A felt sideways-flying –saucer head-warmer is the only way to go or wear it on the front of your head for a student look.

Being a chocoholic I find Easter a wonderful time of year but this year I think I will be giving Berets instead of eggs they last longer and are less fattening!!

Q&A with M-A
Hat tip - get the look!
Dramatic, elegant and capable of making any hat uber-sophisticated and chic, a bespoke headpiece is timeless.
My biggest tip is to up the contrast when it come to a statement piece. The visual and tactile impact these two components have on your hat is incredible......get it wrong and the whole look goes flat.

To stop the classy look feeling dull, the trick is to balance the intensity of the tones. So up the saturation levels and the contrast by blending the tones.

Dressing the hat by adding natural fibres with textural elements, feathers and soft trims softens the look. Layering is the key when it comes to colour - it takes the hat to bespoke level, enabling me to achieve the perfect colour match to compliment your outfit.
And finally...one year on!
I hope 2018 doesn’t go as fast as 2017!!
