Taming Stigma in FASD: Strategies for Our Community
Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm @ Lutherwood- 285 Benjamin Rd., Waterloo
With facilitator Paula Stanghetta- Paula facilitated a discussion at the 2016 International FASD Conference about STIGMA and FASD. She will bring what she has learned from this experience and help us determine what we can do as a community to TAME the STIGMA.
The group will discuss the following:
Identify diverse reasons why stigma around FASD exists
Describe the role of the healthcare provider in addressing stigma around FASD
Identify individual and community-based strategies for addressing stigma around FASD
