Get your Tickets Today and Join us this Thursday, March 15 for a Fun Night of Trivia! Co-hosted by Julian and Brooks PTO's, this event will begin at 6:30 pm at Fitzgerald's in Berwyn. Form your own team of up to six people, or get assigned a team.  Please purchase tickets  for this very fun parent/teacher/staff event at $30 through Monday, March 12.  Beginning Tuesday, tickets go up to $35.  For more details, please see this flyer.   
Don't Miss the PTO Meeting Tomorrow Evening, Monday, March 12 at 7 pm in Julian's Media Room. Shari Noland, Director of Communications for the Oak Park Education Foundation will be first on the agenda followed by Dr. Fitzgerald.  Hear the latest updates from PTO Committee Chairs and find out what PTO will be funding in the near future.  Lastly, open positions on Julian's PTO Board for the 2018-19 school year will be discussed, along with the end of school year calendar.  
Thank you to everyone who  participated in the February Dine Around Town at Panera on February 21. The event raised $101.81. Our next Dine Around Town is on Wednesday, March 21 at Q-BBQ. Be sure to show a copy of the flyer (either printed or electronic) when you order. 
Congratulations to Mr. Seymour and the Jukebox Choir!  This group had a great performance at the IGSMA this weekend scoring all ones across the board!  Great job to all those who participated.
Cast Presents a One Act Festival this Weekend of Two Classic Plays from the Cast Archives, The Real Inspector Hound and Riders to the Sea.   Performances are scheduled for Friday, March 16 at 7:30 pm, Saturday, March 17 at 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm, along with a 3:30 pm showing on Sunday, March 18.  Tickets and more details can be found here. 
Online Registrations for CASTSummer Have Begun! 
Please take a look at CastSummer as you make your summer plans.  Registration deadline for 5th-8th students is April 6 and for 3rd-4th students, April 27.  Questions can be directed to Kathy Simon or call 708-524-7848.  

The Dust is Still Settling from the Battle of the Bots, held last Saturday, March 3.  Thanks to all those students/parents/staff that stopped by to cheer on the students!  The bots that took the field on Saturday were some of the best that we have ever seen. Congratulations to those students who participated!  Results are as follows:

7th Grade Parents/Guardians, Please Submit Your Student's Springfield, IL Trip Payments, Permission and Health Slips Soon.  The deadline for submission is Wednesday, April 4.  We are trying to get a 100% participation rate, so if you have any questions, please email Principal Smith.  And, if needed, the PTO is offering scholarships so that no student misses out on this fun, educational trip.  More chaperones are needed for this trip, so please check the box on the permission slip if you can help out.  And, please fill out this required health form.  
Students, Oak Park Public Library is looking for poetry, short stories, essays, comics, and art to feature in their new teen newsletter. Submit entries by March 31 to be in the first edition.  Please see this  flyer for details on how to get published in future newsletters.  Please direct any questions to Ms. Winchell.

D97's Summer Math Program Registration is Open for Incoming 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Students.  The program is June 11 - 29.  Deadline for registration is April 30.  Click here for details.

Please join the Oak Park Education Foundation (OPEF) on Saturday, March 17, 2018 for the Staszak Gala.  It's a great way to connect with friends, meet new people, and support the amazing programs that OPEF brings to our schools. Join us at the Dole Library on Thursday, March 29 from 6-8 pm for a screening of the 1968 documentary American Revolution. Following will be a discussion of the explosive politics of the 1960s and 1970s with co-founder of the Young Patriots Organization, Hy Thurman and founder of the organization and newspaper Rising Up Angry, Mike James. Also joining us will be Dr. Robert Brinkman who worked at the Patriot Organization community health clinics.  See flyer here for more details.
