In his remarks and during a dynamic dialogue with the audience, Commissioner Jones explained how California is surveying insurance companies about their operations, underwriting and investment practices to ensure that they are taking climate impacts and resilience into account.

South Africa is facing a drought of unimaginable proportions. Please consider supporting a project, led by Karl Van Orsdol, designed to help one community develop a sustainable water source. Kuboes elementary school, north of Cape Town, is the only school within 50 miles of town and has no water or sanitation facilities. 
Project cost: $10,500 to build a 40,000 liter rain water collection system to provide sustainable drinking water for the school.
