Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) in association with Anti Pollution Drive (APD) Foundation and Bearys Public School, Mangaluru celebrated an Eco-Friendly Diwali in the school premises on 16-10-2017. During the celebrations of Eco-Friendly Diwali,  along with a green approach in celebrating Diwali, the team also kick started the ambient air quality assessment test with St. George's Homeopathy. Eco-Friendly Makara Sankranthi 
With the dais filled with colourful kites, the Eco-Friendly Makar Sankranti boosted our spirits and kick started 2018 with panache! The students of Shree Gujarathi English Medium School sent out a staunch message to reap during this harvest season to ‘Live & Let Live’. Mlore Health Committee Chairman Smt Nagveni, Corporator Smt Prathiba Kulai & Shri Rajendra Kumar, AWHCPL Officials Shri Prakash Kurup & Santosh Nair and other dignitaries graced the event with their presence.

Plastic Free Day-PA Polytechnic
On Feb 22, APD Foundation in association with NSS unit of PA Polytechnic College conducted a plastic free drive in the campus and stressed on the importance of reducing and putting an end to single use plastics. 190 odd students were divided into 12 teams and scaled the length and breath of the campus picking waste.

Clean Mangaluru
The "Aadithyavara Santhe" and in and around state bank donned a clean and neat look on Nov 19, 2017. Members of APDF, PACE next and Rama Krishna mission jointly organised a massive clean up drive scaling the length and breath of the service bus stand and its adjoining area.

Medical Check Up for Pourakarmikas - KMC
 Thinking of the fate of 300 plus waste handling workers and drivers, and also concerned about their health, members of Mangaluru Tamil Sangam came up with an initiative of organizing a “Health-Camp” for nearly 325 workers of AWHCPL at their Workshop in Kulur-Mangaluru on Wednesday, 3 January from 2.30 pm-5.30 pm

 World Wetlands Day celebrated at Shri Ramakrishna College
On Feb 7 students of Shri Rama Krishna college Mangaluru, Antony Waste Handling Cell Pvt. Limited and APD Foundation observed world wetlands day. Debate and sketching competition was conducted for the students and they exhibited a great show with their skills. Mr. Mahesh Nayak, Executive editor of Mangaluru today in his address referred to wetlands as earths kidneys.

IEC in Padua School with GOI
Team APD in association with Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, conducted a Swacch Survekshan Seminar in Padua High School. Deputy Director of Field Publicity, Corporator Smt. Roopa Bangera and Prof. Vineetha Rai the District Coordinator of NSS & Lecturer at Roshni Nilaya graced the event.
APD Kiosk @ Bunts Mahila Sangha
On the ocassion of the 69th Republic Day of India the Mahila Vibhaga of Buntara Yane Nadavara Sangha organised 'Shakthi Sangama' an exclusive one day meet of inter-district Bunt women at Bunts Hostel, Mangalore. With the venue decked in colors of the Indra Danush the team at APD had the privilege to educate, enlighten & empower the women on Waste Management & ways to combat air pollution.

Team APDF was invited to interact with the engineering students of NITK Suratkal last week in Halengady. We discussed various possible technologies that could be innovated to help improvisation of solid waste management & air quality in cities

APDF's ingenious calendar  informs and compels one towards environmental concern. It also serves as a reminder to reuse the available resources and reduce the waste that fills landfills. 
Prominent Tulu Comedian and Actor Sri. Naveen D Padil gets appointed as the Brand Ambassador by Mangaluru City Corporation for Swachha Campaigns.  Sri. Naveen D Padil has come forward and urged the Mangalureans to safeguard the environment and to also do their bit in waste segregation. Furthermore for the series of Swachha campaigns various other dignitaries have lend their hands in creating awareness to the citizens of Mangaluru.
Educating the Future
In the months of October, November, December, January & February, the APDF team approached 46 schools and created awareness among 8,247 students. Have a look into our Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Program  conducted in schools.
Created awareness among 4258 odd public via 36 Road shows conducted during the month of October, November, December, January and February.
Activating Public Areas: Our team visits the scheduled ward-wise location to perform a roadshow and motivate the general public .School students or ward area Paurakarmika (Civic Workers) join us in this mass awareness program. 
Information hand delivered
Approximately 17,000 citizens have been sensitised on the issue of improper waste segregation at source through leaflets.

Mangaluru Mayor Smt.Kavitha Sanil, applauds the work done by APD Foundation and appeals people to join hands with our work in improvising the Solid Waste Management of Mangaluru City. 
 
Swacchata Ambassador for Mangaluru Sri. Naveen D Padil urges the citizens to support the good work done by APDF and to report any polluter or garbage dump in and around the city via Swachhata App.
