March 9, 2018

Greetings Families and Friends of Religious Education,

Last Sunday a child who wouldn't leave his parents' side a year ago, was the first one to confidently head (by himself) to the Children's Chapel for the start of RE time.  My brother mentioned that late on Tuesday afternoon, as they were driving through town, his 3 year old said, "I want to go to church!"  A senior Bridger recently commented to her mother how enriching the small group sessions for Bridging are.  Nine adults gathered last Sunday for the first of five sessions in a curriculum called Building Your Own Theology.

I hope you'll help support these big steps on our collective spiritual journeys across the lifespan.  Join us for the Pledge Drive Kick-off Dinner:

Free to everyone Community Dinner: Pledge Drive Kickoff - Generosity Gathering March 10th--childcare provided
Engage, Nurture, and Transform with Stewardship 2018-19, starting with a celebratory community kick off dinner on Saturday, March 10th. Join us for dinner, musical entertainment, and a few speakers, starting at 6pm. Childcare will be provided and children will be served first. The dinner is free, but please RSVP online to ensure we have an accurate head and child count! RSVP by Friday, March 9th (TODAY).  If you can't make the dinner, click here to learn more about the pledge drive and how to contribute.

With love and appreciation,
Liza

UPCOMING SUNDAYS
  • Sundays March 11 will be a regular RE Sunday.  Services will begin at 10 a.m. and the kids and youth will be sung out after the first part of the service.  It is also the first Sunday of March Mystery Madness, so if you signed up, remember your note and a small gift to put in your buddy's mailbox (look for your assigned number) BEFORE the service starts.  Collect YOUR note from your buddy AFTER the service.

  • Sunday March 18 is a multigenerational service where kids will stay in worship the entire time.  Arrive with time to find a seat toward the front so your child is especially ENGAGED.   The theme is: Ripples of Kindness and through story, song and ritual we'll reflect on our ability to choose to engage one another with kindness and the rippling effects that can have in the world.
