Hard copy edition of Active Download
Kia Ora, we've been busy putting together the first of our biannual hard copy edition of the Active Download newsletter.

These are in the post and on the way to early childhood centres, primary and intermediate schools around the greater Wellington region.

Click here to find out how one school found the training process and the benefits of running PALs within your school.

If you aren't on our mailing list, or haven't received a copy yet, please click the link below to find the PDF version of the hard copy newsletter.

Warm regards,
Sport Wellington

Physical Activity Leaders (PALs)
For a number of years, Sport Wellington staff have introduced PALs to primary schools across the region and many schools use this approach to develop leadership skills for their senior students while engaging younger children in constructive play. We have recently made a video which shows the programme in action. Get in touch with us if this would be of interest for your school. Contact Tania on: taniab@sportwellington.org.nz
PALs is a concept using a tuakana / teina approach where senior students run games at lunchtimes for younger children.
