Slavery didn't end with William Wilberforce in the 19th century, or with the Emancipation Proclamation in the American Civil War.
In fact there's somewhere between 21 and 44 million people still enslaved today... and, even worse news:
Some of them might have helped build your smartphone.
Ugh. 😭
(That's not actually worse news, it's just a way of making it relevant. I'm sorry.)
