Welcome Spring!
You can feel it coming...more daylight hours, more warmth from the sun... spring is in the air! It's an exciting time for us gardeners as the anticipation of the growing season takes over.
March has been a busy month at Beyond the House! Plant orders are being finalized and the greenhouse is getting in shape for our first shipments. This past weekend, we once again participated in the Ottawa Home & Garden Show at the EY Centre. Thanks to everyone for stopping by!
New spring decor is arriving weekly in store, including pillows, wall art, rugs, garden décor and jewelry. We have a wonderful variety of indoor plants available including both tropicals and succulents. As Easter weekend approaches, our floral department is busy preparing fresh centrepieces and arrangements for your holiday table. Give us a call to order your plant or floral arrangement!
Our "Spring Into Summer Event" on April 21st is fast approaching. Working in conjunction with Russell Ladies Night, this event will be a fundraiser for Parkinson Canada. Free giveaways, draws for prizes, coffee, food samples and a BBQ - we are kicking off the season in style!

Join us on Saturday April 21 from 9 am - 5 pm for our 3rd annual "Spring Into Summer" Event! In conjunction with Russell Ladies Night, this event will be a fundraiser for Parkinson Canada. Our greenhouses will be filled with amazing tropical plants and with the purchase of a $5.00 ticket (all proceeds to Parkinson Canada), you will receive 10% off all tropical and outdoor ceramic pot purchases that day!
Additional activities include:
- Coffee from Poppa Bean Coffee (all proceeds to Parkinson Canada)
- BBQ 11am - 1 pm (all proceeds to Parkinson Canada)
- Free 3" tropical plant for the 1st 100 customers
- Draw for a tropical summer container
- Samples from our food section

Easter Flowers
Give us a call to pre-book your Easter flowers. Whether it's a centrepiece to add colour to your dinner table or a hostess gift, we will have a gorgeous variety of spring flowers in stock to create something special just for you. Arrangements and bouquets will also be ready for purchase in the store.

Spring Containers
Update your outdoor containers for spring with the addition of potted bulbs such as tulips, daffodils and hyacinth. Replace winter branches with pussy willow and remove your winter greens. We are happy to help you design your container and will have all the bulbs and twigs in store to give a pop of colour to your front entrance.

Russell Ladies Night
Once again we have partnered with Russell Ladies Night, who are this year, fundraising for Parkinson Canada. The "Hollywood Fab Fifteen Gala" Event will be held on May 4, 2018 at the Russell Arena. All monies raised from the silent & live auctions will help to fund research for individuals living with this chronic degenerative neurological disease. Tickets are available in store at Beyond the House, as well as on-line at www.RussellFair.com.
