How's the market?
Perth market snapshot
as at 28th Mar 2018. Source: reiwa.com.au Sales activity in the Perth metro market increased by 582 transactions for the week. This can be summarised by a 7% increase in sales for houses, a 22% decrease in unit sales, and a 20% increase in vacant land sales.
Properties listed across Perth increased over the week to 14,747. Listings for houses and units REMAINED STABLE and vacant land UP by 3%. The total number of listings recorded this week is 3% HIGHER than levels seen four weeks ago, but are 2% LOWER compared to the same time last year.
Total properties available for rent fell over the week to 8,436. This is the same as four weeks ago and is 19% lower than the same time last year. Thankfully the vacancy rate to the end of Feb has eased to 5.1% down from a peak of 7.0% in mid-2017.
