Friends Couple Enrichment is now an independent organization.
Dear Friend,

Greetings from Friends Couple Enrichment. In this first newsletter for 2018 one of our leader couples shares an article describing how their Quaker Meeting has supported them in partnership with FCE.  As always, we also include an example of an activity that our leaders prepare for Couple Enrichment events, as well as a list of upcoming events. Might one of these be the nudge you need to consider organizing an FCE event in your area?

Please help us grow this ministry by encouraging couples you know to sign up for one of the upcoming events, by bringing news of Friends Couple Enrichment to your Meeting or faith community, by forwarding this email to others who might be interested, and/or by donating to FCE. Meanwhile, enjoy the newsletter!

How Can Meetings Nurture Relationships Under Their Care?
Couple holding hands in larger group
Imagine meeting month after month with a group of couples committed to practicing the art of couple dialogue!

Joan and Rich Liversidge share their experience of how ongoing groups that flourished after Couple Enrichment events at Sandy Spring Meeting have enriched their lives, and the lives of many others.

"This is just one way, albeit a very powerful and meaningful one, in which a monthly meeting can facilitate the movement of the Spirit and the Light in relationships for which it has pledged its care," they say.

An Exercise to Share
What will your relationship look like over the next three months? Take time with your partner to use this Couple Growth Plan to explore what you want for yourselves, for each other, and for your relationship. You may have done this exercise at the end of a couple enrichment event, but why not treat your relationship to a tune-up by doing it again?

Bring a Couple Enrichment Event to Your Community

There is a particular richness when a retreat is held for couples within a single meeting or community. It not only enriches the individual couple relationships, but it also deepens the bonds of caring among the couples in the group, and thus enriches the meeting or community as well.

FCE has 16 active leader couples spread across North America. What would it take for your Meeting or Community to invite one of them to lead a Couple Enrichment Event in your community?
