Letter from the President
It’s hard to believe that we have less than 50 days left in this school year! It is flying by and we are already starting to think about next year! There is still a lot going on and we are so grateful for all the volunteers that have helped us and continue to help us support our amazing school.
Coming up in May are two very important district wide events: The election for Dripping Springs ISD Board of Trustees positions (there are three seats that will be elected) as well as voting on the proposed bond for the school district. We have an amazing community and an amazing school district and it takes all of us to achieve this! Also, please join us on April 26thfor a presentation of the bond by Dr. Gearing in the CL&I. This will occur in the CL&I in conjunction with Principal’s coffee and the next PTA meeting. We hope to see you there!
Our next general PTA meeting (April 26th at 8am) is around the corner and so is our election for PTA Board officers. I began volunteering when my oldest started first grade here at DSES and it has been one of the best experiences for me. I have had an opportunity to meet so many parents and kids as well as get plugged into our school and how I can be of service. There are always positions needed, both big and small, and things that can be done in the school and outside of the school. It does take a village and I am honored to be a part of this village. Please consider volunteering with the PTA. WE NEED YOU!
