EIOLC Outdoor Planetarium
The Eastern Iowa Observatory and Learning Center (EIOLC) has recently received a grant from the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation for the development of an Outdoor Planetarium which will be located at the site of the EIOLC.

College Community report on a 2017 RCRV grant
An elementary Special Education teacher at College Community was awarded funds through the RCRV 2017 grant program. This report lets RCRV members know how RCRV is making a difference and helping students and teachers at College Community Schools.
Linn-Mar STEM Video report on RCRV Grant
Linn-Mar has created a short video about "Project Lead the Way" which was funded in part by a grant from RCRV to purchase VEX robotics kits for middle school students. This video shows the impact that RCRV can have on local classrooms.
Volunteer Opportunities at Aging Services
Aging Services, part of AbbeHealth, provides services and resources that help older adults to remain as independent as possible in their own homes in Linn, Benton, Johnson and Jones counties. Services include Case Management, Milestones Adult Day Health Centers, Pathways Adult Day Health Center, Elder Abuse Intervention, Mental Health Outreach, Chore and Home Repair, Witwer Healthy Aging Programs, Transportation, Respite and Volunteer Services.
Aging Services offers several unique volunteer opportunities for people to share their time and talents for the good of others. Some volunteer programs/positions are ongoing and require a regular time commitment, others are seasonal or on an as-needed basis. Volunteers are placed according to their interest and skills.
