“Thanks to a grant from the Caledonia Education Foundation and matching grants, our senior citizens have some awesome new treadmills and elliptical machines to work out on!” - Barb Nemecek, Caledonia Resource Center
Students, staff and community members are enjoying working out on brand new weight equipment that was partially funded by a CEF grant. New treadmills, elliptical machines, and stationary bikes replaced well -used, worn, and outdated equipment. The Duncan Lake Middle School weight room is used by all ages ranging from 12 - 95 years old! Middle school and the Transitions students use the equipment daily while middle and high school students use it for conditioning during sports camps in the summer. Caledonia employees and senior citizens also utilize the equipment for weight management, strengthening, and to improve their overall quality of life. Adult enrichment classes learn about weight training while utilizing the facilitates and equipment on a weekly basis. Working with this new equipment will promote and maintain wellness and a healthy lifestyle.
