There was no way the disciples could come close to imagining the way that Jesus was going to bring them new life. No strategic plan, no ideation session, no brainstorming group could have dreamed of the power of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.

The disciples were too scared and clinging too tightly to Jesus to think that letting go would have been a good thing. But God knew and had been dreaming of the way new life in God's love would change the world forever. It was time for a new thing!

Isaiah 43:19 (NLT)

For I am about to do something new.
See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?
I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.

Lord, we believe that you can make a pathway through our wilderness today. We believe that you will create rivers in the dry wasteland. Bring to us a new way and a new day to be your church!
