Audio Spotlight: Outstanding Business Achievement Awards

1) City staff will be hosting a Public Open House on Monday April 9th, 2018 from 6:00-8:30 at the David Braley Health Sciences Centre  at 100 Main Street West.  We encourage members to attend and learn about the proposed Downtown Hamilton Secondary Plan, the proposed changes to the Zoning By-law and how these documents will be used. 

Please see the project website for additional details. We will be engaging with City staff on this file and welcome comments.

2) The Canadian Government has announced it's first steps to strengthen protections at the border against foreign steel dumping. See here for an announcement on the fast tracked implementation of enhancements to the Canada Border Services as part of Bill C-44. We will continue to engage with government and the newly formed special committee on this issue. 

3) The Ontario Liberal Government will be announcing their 2018 Budget later today, expect an update and analysis from us early tomorrow!
