Save the date: Earth Day on Red Square, April 20, 2018

The central UW Earth Day celebration, organized by the UW Sustainability Action Network in collaboration with UW Sustainability, will take place April 20 on Red Square. The theme for this year's Earth Day is "Planting the seeds for a sustainable future."

The UW Earth Day celebrations bring students, faculty, staff and community members together to celebrate sustainability efforts across our UW campuses. During the event, exhibitors - including student groups, academic units and community partners - will be on Red Square along with music, speakers, and much more.

UW joins new international coalition to speed climate action

The University of Washington joined 12 other leading North American research universities in the new University Climate Change Coalition, or UC3, a group committed to leveraging its research and resources to help communities accelerate climate action.

Volunteer for the 2018 Special Olympics in Seattle

The Special Olympics USA Games will be coming to Seattle this summer July 1-6. More than 4,000 athletes and coaches will be staying in the North and West residence halls on the UW Seattle campus and eight of the fourteen Special Olympics USA Games events will be held on campus. Special Olympics USA Games needs volunteers to make sure that the USA Games are a success and that the athletes, their families and spectators have a great time.
