Lady Fatima (a.s) Day in Tooting
On 10th March 2018, the Idara Sunday School, Tooting hosted Annual event, Lady Fatima Day, for our young balighas and their mums. This initiating programme focused on enlightening young girls on what it means to be a Baligha, encouraging thought and dialogue between mums and daughters so concepts are clear and not daunting.

Guest speaker, Sr Nargis Ali, presented an interactive speech, which was inspirational for both mums and daughters. Besides this, a lot of other enlivening activities were organised for the pair to work together. There was, candle making, hijab styling & painting which everyone enjoyed. Other activities were Mahrum-Namahrum - where they learnt who was their Mahrum and what its implications were. At another station: 'I am a Baligha!' they got to reflect on their priorities in life, as a young girl - are their likes and dislikes preparing them for beautiful future? Finally, at the 'Star and Wish' station, they got to tell each other what they appreciate about one another.
