To God be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Dear pastors, donors and prayer supporters,

In the few years since this work began, I have been very encouraged by the sort of people who have stepped up to join the team. From professors to donors to our staff, it has been a thrill to see the ITS team come together. I praise God! The board, in particular, has been a joy to work with. We currently have 11 board members—pastors and laymen—whose passion is to see biblical and theological training in academic and ecclesial contexts, to the glory of God and the good of local churches. They are a gifted, diverse and committed group of men with whom I am humbled to link arms.

Our two newest board members are Rob Wingerter and Jym Gregory.

Rob Wingerter recently retired from his career as a partner at Ernst and Young, during which time he also served on the boards of Zionsville schools and the University of Indianapolis. He also holds a Master’s degree from Covenant Theological Seminary, and has authored a handful of books on church history and spiritual life. Thus, Rob sees the high value of both theology and education. Joining our board, therefore, brings together two of his passions. In addition to serving on the ITS board, much of his time is given to Mahseh Ministries, of which he is a co-founder.
Jym Gregory is the Lead Pastor of LifePoint Church, just southeast of Indy, which has a fruitful internship program and a robust theology institute for laypersons and upcoming leaders. Before coming to LifePoint Jym served on the mission field and in higher education. He’s also currently pursuing a doctorate from SBTS in apologetics. These unique experiences mean Jym brings fresh perspectives and needed insights to our board.
I praise God for both of these new board members. With co-laborers like these it is easy to increase our optimism for ITS’s future! We strive, in Paul’s words, to be “steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord [our] labor is not in vain” (1 Cor 15:58).

soli Deo gloria,
Nicholas G. Piotrowski, Ph.D.
