It's membership drive time and we need YOU!
New and existing members who renew between 19 and 29 March 2018 will go in the draw to win a swag of amazing prizes, and are rewarded with 14 new member discounts across the state.
This year, we've pulled out all the stops with our membership video, teaming up with some of the state’s most prevalent performers and avid music lovers to give the rundown on exactly what Music Victoria is about and just how far your membership money goes in the 2018 ‘Live and Breathe Music’ Membership video.
Enlisting the Amateur Hour comedy team to produce the video, the script was written by our very own Laura Imbruglia who also stars in the video. Touching on grant applications, industry coaching services, mentorship, workshops, master classes and discounts, the video stars musicians Ecca Vandal, Sophie Koh, Benny Walker, Stella Angelico, Jake Mason (Cookin’ On Three Burners), Slattz (King Parrot), Lauren Hammel (High Tension/TFS), Pablo Alvarado (Mesa Cosa), Broads, Andrew Swann, Ben Franz (The Waifs/Brooke Russell), plus the Music Victoria staff Patrick Donovan, Al Parkinson, Nick Cooper and Sarah De Borre.
In 2017 over 1500 members helped Music Victoria to reach some amazing feats including: publishing the Victorian Live Music 10 Point Plan, issuing $240,100 in grants as part of the Good Music Neighbours and Acoustic Assessment programs, partnering with the government to bring the international renowned Music Cities Convention to the Southern Hemisphere for the first time, and assisting Visit Victoria to make live music a brand pillar and the pre-eminent global professor in music strategy Sound Diplomacy’s Dr. Shain Shapiro to declare Melbourne the “Live Music Capital of the World”.
Your 2018 membership fees will help Music Victoria to continue this vital work for you and your living, breathing music community.
