The new Jettplus eyelift works well, not only for droopy eyelids but it contracts eye bags ( usually difficult to treat) and deep wrinkles ( crows feet/ frown lines/ scar tissue). This is a nonsurgical treatment - no cutting, no anaesthetics, no theatre fees. Officially, downtime is about 4 days. As you know, I always trial every product and procedure that I do so I have firsthand experience. So here's my first 2 day blog on Jettplus.

If you’re thinking of having the procedure, this Easter may be a good time, long enough to recover. I’m the first person in Australia to be trained on Jettplus,
How does one minimise downtime? As the procedure causes brown crusts to form, I decided to be creative and make it look like brown eyeshadow. Went out to dinner half an hour after the procedure and no one blinked. The next day is usually the worst - when there's a bit of swelling and the brown marks looked a bit weird. So I used some make-up. Went grocery shopping and by noon, looked quite normal. For me, down-time was minimal and it didn't restrict my activities. I used a few techniques to reduce the swelling.
After my last patient on Friday afternoon, I injected some local anaesthetic ( with a cannula - blunt needle) and used the Jettplus on my upper eye lids. My receptionist Holly ( medical student) watched in horror. No pain at all.

BEFORE at 5 pm
I fashioned the treatment to look like eye shadow - maybe I’ll start a new trend! Eyelids already lifted. Went out to dinner at  pm and no one blinked.

DAY 1
When I woke up on Saturday, there was no bruising but swelling was obvious, which made the brown markings look weird, so I covered it with some make-up. Went out for coffee.
By noon, swelling had gone down and the eyes looked reasonable. Went grocery shopping.
DAY 2
No make-up. After a swim, some of the scabs fell off and it started to sting. Should have kept it dry. Never pick the scabs off for a better result. Swelling has reduced more.
Day 3. Monday. Work today. You can see my eyelids have lifted since Friday.
This amazing new device can also lift jawlines, foreheads, treat hyperpigmentation and improve skin texture over a 6-8 week period.

Jettplus to the eyelids and surrounding skin.

Note her crows feet and skin around her eyes have imroved considerably.

How does Jettplus work?

When surgical blepharoplasties are done, loose skin is removed. It's also important to improve this fragile sensitive skin area around the eyes or droopy eyelids will recur. Jettplus does both.  There is an electrical potential difference between the internal and  external part of our cell membrane that diminishes as we age. Consequently cell function also deteriorates.

This is restored when the cell membranes receive an electrical DC discharge from Jettplus. This one way current is very precise and doesn't affect the surrounding tissue. The tissue then contracts and lifts over 2-6 weeks. The cells are rejuvenated with a greater potential difference in the cell membrane and they get hydrated.

Results are seen immediately. There is downtime for 4-5 days but make-up can be used to camouflage the crusting that will occur.

Treatment is $1950 for both upper eyelids. This includes some ultraformer eye treatment as results are better with both modalities. If your eyelids are extremely droopy or very asymmetrical, there is also a medicare rebate.
New liposomal products. The best absorption of products is intravenously and liposomal products come a close second. The oily carriage allows the product to slip between the cell membranes. 2 important nutrients are vitamin C and glutathione. I've researched Quicksilver products and have been very impressed with their formulation. These 2 products can be taken orally and also used topically. Glutathione is a great detoxifier and used successfully for facial pigmentation and anti-ageing. ( reduces wrinkles and whitens). A good vitamin C will also encourage fibroblast formation and improve skin texture and elasticity.  Dr Christopher Shade's ( CEO of Quicksilver) youtubes are very informative. Here’s another more in depth look at glutathione for those with a little biochemistry background.

Liiposomal glutathione is one nutrient that helps improve organ function as we age and in this toxic world we live in.

Topical glutathione is BIG in Asia where they are obsessed with a pure white skin. Women slather it on their faces to reduce pigmentation. They do have amazing skin - partly genetics but if we all did half as much as they do, we’d look half amazing.

Liposomal glutathione - topical as well as oral. 50mls. Always keep liposomal products in the fridge.
