Welcome Spring at Diver City

It's almost here....can you feel it?

We are super excited to begin our plans for the upcoming local dive season. We're setting course schedules, and looking forward to kicking it all off at the Manitoba Underwater Council's Bud, Spud and Steak night on April 13th.

There have been an increasing number of people wanting to try diving lately, so we are setting up 2 pool nights specifically for people to Discover SCUBA Diving! If you have been trying to convince someone special to try diving, there is no time like the present! Pre-registration is required for the March 21st and 28th evenings at Cindy Klassen pool.

Next weekend is our annual Ice dive event, which is once again full! We even have people joining us from Florida this year!

What is this Fluoro diving thing?

You know all of those corals that you look at during the day and wonder how they could be live animals, when all they look like is rocks and plants? Well, light them up at night with UV or blue lights and filters at night, and it opens up a whole new view of them!
There is a good article on Fluoro Night diving on the PADI blog.
If you're looking to get into it, join us on one of our upcoming trips, and don't forget to stock up on lights and filters. We have a full selection in store!

The Manitoba Underwater Council needs you at their Annual General Meeting!
Monday, April 16th at 7 PM

There have been some discussions with Manitoba Parks about potential changes in the marker buoy location at the West Hawk Lake Cats Ass dive site this past year. We want your input and need your assistance on this important project. It is YOUR dive community and changes may affect your local diving.

Sustainable development has approved a plan to expand the marina, and some changes will be coming. We have been working with them and the West Hawk Marina to try to limit the impact as much as possible. However, the voice of the MUC board is quite small, we need you, the members, to chime in and help "Save our Ass".

Last call for Fiji trip sign up!

We have only one room remaining for our February 2019 trip, and it is first-come, first served. Get your deposit in ASAP.
Flight schedules and pricing will be available within the week, and we will keep everyone who is signed up for the trip posted as the details come in.
