Message from the President

Greetings NATS Ontario Members and friends in singing!

Spring is on its way! (Probably. I mean, almost certainly. Right?)  I hope you'll grab a drink (you might want to make it a strong one) and settle in for a long update. FULL OF INFORMATION THAT YOU REALLY WANT. (Probably. I mean, almost certainly. Right?)

Here's a little preview of what you'll see when you scroll down (and down and down and down):
  • new members roster and welcome
  • Spring PD Day information and RSVP
  • Spring AGM information
  • news from the Great Lakes Regional Governor
  • BIG congratulations to a whole bunch of our members
  • a wee bit of legacy love
  • and more ...
BUT before you get to reading and scrolling, please join me in wishing a fond farewell to Carol McFadden who resigned from NATS in December.

Without further ado, I invite you to sit back with that drink (you poured yourself a drink already, right?) and take a read.

I look forward to seeing many of you at the Spring Professional Development Day (details below, of course)!

Yours in singing,

president@natsontario.org

Please donate
Oops ... there's a little more ado. Before we get into the juicy stuff (soooo juicy), I hope you'll consider making a donation to the scholarship fund!  You can send a cheque (that good, old-fashioned way) to:

NATS Ontario
c/o Lisa Cosens-Brillon, Treasurer
PO Box 83
Queenston, ON
L0S 1L0

Or go to the NATS Ontario website and donate via Paypal

As you know, NATS Ontario is a charitable organization (yes. you heard correctly: we're all volunteers around here. #truestory), so all donors will receive a tax receipt at the end of the year.

If you happen to know one of these fine folk in person, please consider taking a moment out of your day to send them a little welcome note.  And if they're teaching in the same area that you do? I hope you'll consider reaching out to see what kind of collaboration might be possible (perhaps you can read the NATS Ontario Newsletters together. with that drink.)!

Right. So if you made it this far, YOU DESERVE A REWARD. Here's a little bit of legacy love for you:

Did you know that Jean MacPahil was the first NATS Ontario President?
That Roxolana Roslak was the first NATS Ontario Treasurer?
And that Helen Simmie was the first District Governor?

Well now you do. You're welcome. :)
