Burning Down the House:
Join Us for Our Spring Social & Fundraiser!

Dear Humanities Behind Bars members and supporters,

Please come through our spring social and fundraiser at New River Taphouse this Friday, March 23rd from 9:00-11:30pm. We have an exciting lineup of musicians, listed below, who will be gracing the stage to support our prison education program:

Entrance is free, and everyone is welcome! If you'd like to contribute, we will accept cash or check donations. We will also be selling our beautiful logo shirts ($20 each)purchase one for yourself or a friend! All proceeds will go towards the Tidewater Solidarity Center, our co-organized legal defense and bond fond, as well as classroom books and supplies for incarcerated HBB students at Norfolk City Jail.

Please help us collectively create means of safety and support for people impacted by the prison industrial complex! We are excited to continue building the momentum toward abolition together.

Abolition Rocks,

Alison Reed, Program Director & Co-Founder
Casey Guditus, HBB Treasurer

Danielle Goldstein, Student Justice Coordinator
Meghan Morris, Graduate Research Assistant
