Women are underrepresented on Wikipedia - by a LOT. Part of the reason for this disparity is because about 90% of Wikipedia contributors are men. Let's change that!

Never edited wikipedia before? No idea where to start or what to do? No problem - we've got you covered.

Attendees will view a tutorial on how to contribute to Wikipedia, and we'll have several experienced editors on-hand to answer questions and help with trouble-shooting.

WHAT CAN I DO?

No experience is required! There are a ton of ways you can participate as an individual or partnering with a friend or fellow WiT member, including:

• Write new articles (we'll have a list of suggestions available)
• Help with research (we'll have pre-selected library books on-hand)
• Fact-check existing articles
• Add citations to existing articles
• Expand existing articles
• And more!

DO I NEED TO BE THERE RIGHT AT 9 AM?

Nope! Come anytime between 9am and noon.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

We recommend bringing a laptop if you have one, but the library is also providing some for us to use, so don't let that stop you!

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

The library is fully accessible; there's nearby parking garages or street parking. Kids are 100% welcome."

📢 March for Our Lives Wisconsin
