As the Redress Scheme is developing, people who are interested in the Scheme can be alerted when new information by subscribing to receive updates.
By subscribing to receive updates about the Scheme, you will receive an email to your nominated email address, when new information about the Scheme is available. This may include when other governments or institutions join the Scheme, when website information is changed or updated, or when final arrangements for the Scheme become settled.

By completing the subscription form you are consenting to your email address being collected by the Department for subscription and communication purposes.
Privacy
The Department of Social Services (DSS) is committed to protecting the privacy of subscribers and the confidentiality of personal information provided to it. DSS collects, maintains and uses your personal information in order to: fulfil subscription requests, by providing you with information and news about the work of the DSS and its Ministers; and manage the subscription service. If you do not provide your personal information to DSS you will not be able to subscribe to the service. The Privacy Act 1988 requires DSS to only collect information for a purpose that is reasonably necessary for, or directed to, a function or activity of DSS.
DSS uses a service based in the United States to maintain this mailing list. Therefore your information will be disclosed and stored outside Australia. DSS will take reasonable steps to ensure that your information is protected and handled in accordance with legal requirements as described in this policy.
DSS’s Privacy Policy contains information on how you can access and seek to amend the personal information DSS holds about you. The Privacy Policy also contains details on how you can make a complaint if you think DSS has mishandled your personal information.
