"Not only sustaining an arts community, but helping it thrive."
Kelley Dilworth, Cultural Arts Board member states, "The Arts Gathering has taken on a new role, becoming less of a presentation platform, and more of a party! This is an evening to celebrate everyone that plays a role in the Arts Community here in Harford County. Our Coordinator, Jessica Cleaver, and my fellow Board members, feel strongly that we need more opportunities to gather together as a group, just to catch up with each other, to show support, and to say thank you. It's through events like the Arts Gathering that connections are made and future opportunities from new collaborations come to be. This is such a vital part of not only sustaining an arts community, but helping it thrive."
Arts Educators Listening Session
A pre-Gathering session has been added to this year's event. Developed in partnership with Arts Education in Maryland Schools Alliance, we have planned an Arts Educators Listening Session. This unique opportunity brings together arts educators from all disciplines, teaching pre-K through college in our Harford School, to speak with Harford County Cultural Arts Advisory Board, Arts Education in Maryland Schools Alliance, local arts organizations, and teaching artists about how we can best support those who teach the next generation and their students.
Harford County Cultural Arts Board's mission is to "Preserve, Enhance, and Promote the Culture of Harford County, Maryland.”
