PRESIDENT'S NOTE

Happy spring! This quarter, we’re highlighting TACL’s refreshed approach to impact, which was premiered at the 2018 Winter Convention in San Diego. Also, check out some of TACL’s biggest events so far for 2018, as well as prep for our summer youth camps and TAP-LA’s 2nd annual Taiwanese American Film Festival.

TAIWANESE AMERICAN HIGHLIGHT

TAP-NY/BOS SKI TRIP

TAP-NY and TAP-BOS collaborated to plan a snowy weekend of fun for 75 people.

Highlights included fresh powder, pizza party, and meeting new people across chapters.

HUALIEN RELIEF

A huge shout out to the following TAP Chapters for their Hualien earthquake relief fundraising efforts:

TAP-OC/TAP-ATL/TAP-SEA joined together for an online fundraiser. TAP-ATX and TAP-DC raised funds through local TAPpy Hours. And a portion of TAP-SF's Lunar New Year Soiree proceeds went towards relief efforts.

A total of $1920.84 has been raised so far.

TAIWANESE AMERICAN FILM FESTIVAL

Attention filmmakers! The final deadline to submit your short film for the 2nd Annual Taiwanese American Film Festival is coming up this Friday, April 13th.

So mark your calendars! TAFF will be returning on August 3-4, 2018 to the Downtown Independent Theater in DTLA.

TAIWANESE AMERICAN CULTURAL FESTIVAL

On May 12, 2018, Union Square in San Francisco will host the 26th annual Taiwanese American Cultural Festival-—the largest Taiwan-centric event on the west coast.
