Emergency General Meeting
The committee are calling an EGM on the Tuesday 27th March 2018 at the Stewartby Social Club. During the meeting we would like to discuss with the full membership issues affecting the club, if you could make this meeting it would be much appreciated as your opinions is important to club.

‘Spring Clean’

This year our pavilion will not be ready for the annual spring clean. It will need to be done later in the season when we get permission to access the site. The committee will publish the new spring clean dates in future newsletters.

As the usual facilities will not be available as the pavilion will not be ready for the start of the new season, we are working with other clubs to move the first few home games to away. We will keep you informed of the changes and confirm arrangements for access to the green, as information becomes available.

Cheese & Wine Evening

As usual the season will start with a ‘Cheese and Wine’ evening that will be organised by the ladies on Friday 13th April at 07:30pm in the Stewartby Social Club. You will need to purchase your drinks from the bar on the night and food will be provided.

You can book your place for this evening on the sign on days or on the night, the cost per ticket os £3.00 each.

Please bring as many of your friends and family as you can, to make this a great start to the season. Raffle prizes in support of this event will be very welcome.

Collection of membership fees and Tournament Sign On

Wed 4th April & Thurs 5th April from 6:30pm to 7:30pm
Sat 7thApril 13:00 – 16:00
All Sign On Days are being held in the Stewartby Social Club

If you are unable to attend either of these dates please pass your money to any of the committee members listed on this newsletter. Cheques made payable to Stewartby Bowls Club.

Bowls England / Bowls Bedfordshire Competitions
We now have confirmation of the Bowls England Completions we have entered into this Season.

Top Club - We have a bye in the first round and meet the winners of Bedford Priory or Maulden.10th June.
Club 2 Fours - We have Bedford Priory in the first round 20th May.
Pell Shield - We have drawn Kempston Hammers on the 24th June
