At GG HQ... exciting new plans are brewing!
We're looking into creating a new entrance route and a new area for campervans and caravans, the better to avoid traffic jams and delays on our narrow woodland track, and to create more space in the camping areas that were beginning to get cramped last year... We're also aiming to extend shuttle bus provision and improve pedestrian access.
More details on this soon - you can subscribe to get news hot from HQ!
GG 2018 Spring Advance Tickets are £100 from BRISTOL TICKET SHOP.

THREE ACRES AND A COW
Three Acres and a Cow - a history of land rights and protest in folk song & story connects the Norman Conquest and Peasants’ Revolt with 80′s road protests, Occupy and fracking resistance via the enclosures and Highland Clearances, bringing a compelling narrative to the radical people’s history of Britain.
Part TED talk, part history lecture, part folk club sing-a-long, part poetry slam, part storytelling session... Three Acres and a Cow is one of the most unique, entertaining, inspiring acts we've seen in years! Come along to The Raconteurs' Delight to share in these tales of an evening; or pop in to a daytime workshop.
Thanks to Unicorn Grocery Co-op for match-funding to bring Three Acres to GG 2018.
ALT TECH - THE RESOURCE HUB
New for 2018, the REsource Hub will be a hangout for renewable energy experts; pop in for a chat, browse the library, or book a one-to-one clinic session and get all your Alt Tech dilemmas resolved!
The Hub will be next to the REsource fire engine, which is topped with solar panels on a tracking array and has a visible power system in a display cabinet so you can see how everything works. The REsource crew will host kids’ renewables workshops as well as adult skillshares, plus astronomy lessons outside by the interactive sundial.
With volunteers sharing their knowledge of energy generation, energy storage and DC electrics, the Hub is a collaborative attempt to bridge the gap between ideals and practicalities. Curated by REsource Living, funded by Suma Wholefoods (the UK’s biggest workers’ co-operative) and Weirdigans co-op, it will be small this year; if it's popular we hope it will grow...

New flyers launched this week
If you can help distribute GG posters (A4) and flyers (A6), please email em@greengathering.org.uk with your postal address and how many you'd like. We need everyone who loves the festival to help spread the word!
Our flyers are based on photos taken at the festival by Stefan Handy and Keef Gibson; the pics are interpreted by artist Drea Blackbird who paints in acrylic on canvas, then turned into flyers by Frog's Design and printed on 100% post-consumer recycled paper with vegetable inks. Thanks to all involved in the collaboration!
GG is featured in Juno Natural Parenting magazine and Recommended by Festival Kidz
