A Time to Begin...
an invitation to you or someone you know
to step onto a mat and stretch a little, together.

There are many thoughts that dissuade us from stepping into a room full of other people practicing yoga. If you are new to the practice of yoga or new to me as a teacher and would like to taste a gentle, slow and friendly practice - I encourage you to commit to a few classes with me and see how it feels for your body, mind and heart. You will be with others who are new to the practice. We will talk a little about this ancient practice called yoga and we will move our bodies in and out of basic movements that are chosen for their accessibility. This is all you will need to feel comfortable joining Wild Honey classes on Tuesdays or Thursdays in the future.
Yoga is primarily a practice of attention. As a teacher, I am most interested in creating a space and offerings that allow you to direct your attention inward as you develop a kinder and more consistent relationship with your body, your breath, and your mind. The aim of this time spent in relationship with self is that we will see more clearly the truth of our deeper connection to all of life and to each other.
We explore yoga postures (asana) as a way to practice presence, steady attention, honesty and availability. The movement also increases our flexibility, strength and balance. You might feel lighter, calmer, more relaxed, happy, juicy, powerful, clear-minded, connected or all of the above. It is a fascinating practice that I hope that you will join me to explore. I would love to answer any questions or concerns you might have or add your name to my class list at 269-615-3003 or gina.alight@gmail.com.
Classes meet at The Center for Psychotherapy and Wellness at 900 Peeler Street on the lower level. The cost is $40 for four weeks. If the commitment of four classes seems too long, come to one for $10 and decide if you'd like to come back again.
