Pittsburgh's first hostel
Opens Easter Sunday, April 1st

Pittsburgh natives, Paul Kletter and Mary Beth Karabinos, are opening South Side Traveler's Rest, with help from The Progress Fund.

The hostel will ultimately accommodate up to 35 guests, offering both dormitory style and private sleeping rooms, with rest room and kitchen facilities, as well as lockers, Wi-Fi and bike detailing.
Located on Pittsburgh's historic South Side, it's the only hostel within walking/biking distance to Downtown Pittsburgh.

"The location, just a half mile from trail access, is perfect for the Great Allegheny Passage traveler," says Mary Beth Karabinos.

The hostel's opening is a welcome attraction for international travelers to the City of Pittsburgh. "We want to be a haven for bicyclists finishing and beginning their GAP journeys as well as a destination for domestic and foreign travelers of varying budgets," added Karabinos.
