Spring Riding Hazards

Are we finally out of this "March Madness" weather? The temperature is rising, the sun is shining (at least some days), and it's starting to look more like riding season. If you haven't already, it'll soon be time to get your bike out of storage and back on the roads. However, spring brings road hazards and other obstacles that motorcyclists will need to avoid. Here are some of the most important things to look out for this spring:
  • Unaware drivers
  • Construction zones
  • Wet or icy roads
  • Potholes
  • Fluctuating temperatures
And it goes without saying – remember to give your motorcycle a spring tune-up before hitting the road. Take some time to clean it, check for any wear on parts, check fluid levels, and take it for a quick ride around the block to address any issues before committing to a longer ride.

For more tips to get you safely started this spring, check out our extensive video library of motorcycling information.

Have You Called for Your
Free Motorcycle Insurance Review?
Nothing says "spring cleaning" like tossing out the old and bringing in the new. Consider reviewing your motorcycle insurance to see if it's due to be "tossed" in lieu of something more protective in the case you're ever in an accident. All Snyder’s Riders members are eligible to receive a free, one-on-one motorcycle insurance review with an experienced motorcycle injury attorney at Edgar Snyder & Associates. It’s always best to make sure you have enough insurance protection BEFORE you need it. Call today at 1-866-710-1642 to let us know you’d like to schedule your insurance review.
