2018 Awards Announced 
Awards have now been approved and we will be announcing them in the coming weeks. A number of award events will take place across the country, to present athletes with their support. But for now here's asneak peek at what 10 years of the GLL Sport Foundation looks like.
           
                                

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Celebrate the Commonwealth Games 

The Copper Box Arena hosted a Wheelchair Basketball event giving people the opportunity to compete like the professionals. British wheelchair basketball players were also in attendance to provide advice and some inspiration in the form of an exhibition match. The Duke and Duchess attended to celebrate the up coming Commonwealth games and were able to take some time to talk to players like Paralympic athlete Ade Adepitan. The Duke also manage to have a go himself after a brief instruction from Ade and the GB team. READ MORE

  
 

LATEST NEWS

The Commonwealth games, Gold Coast 2018 is just around the corner and with new 2018 athletes included it is projected that over 60 GSF supported athletes will compete at the Games for their respective countries. READ MORE   
 

'Better' staff raise money for GSF  

The first Vitality Big Half  took place on 4th March 2018. The brand new half marathon saw nearly 15000 runners, including Sir Mo Farah take to the roads of London. Among them were staff and customers of Better centres raising money for GSF and helping to support today and tomorrows athletes.  A near perfect day for running the weather held up for runners to take in iconic sights such as, Tower bridge, Cutty Sark and Royal Greenwich Park. 

Preston Sports Awards 

On 23rd March Preston held their 13th annual sports awards at the Guildhall, Preston. The night had approximately 310 guest in attendance including, Lord and Lady Shuttleworth and was hosted by Paul Crone from Granada Tonight. 
The keynote speak for the night was our very own Lutalo Muhammed, who had a fantastic impact on the audience. Paul Crone seemed to enjoy his signature kick also. 
Another GSF Ambassador Stephanie Slater MBE was celebrated for her sporting achievements after recently announcing her retirement. 

Winners of the Preston Sports Awards will go through to the Lancashire Sports Awards.

SportsAid Fundraising Challenge Events 2018


The GLL Sport Foundation work in partnership with SportsAid to support talented athletes at the top of their game. SportsAid have a number of exciting fundraising challenge events in 2018 that you can get involved with. All money fundraised will go back into SportsAid and help support the next generation of athletes.

London Lions - Free Tickets for Sponsors

Supported athletes can access tickets to watch the London Lions Basketball Club throughout the 2017/18 season at the Copper Box Arena in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. 

The basketball season continues through until April 2018. London Lions had a fantastic season last year and hope their positive streak is here to stay.
