The goal of the Future of Finance series is to motivate and empower the world of finance to become an environment where investor interests come first, markets function at their best, and economies grow. We would like for our members to be familiar with the latest trends in the world of finance and to provide an opportunity for our members to ask experts in these areas all the questions that they may have.

The conference will explore the following hot topics in finance:

The keynote speaker for the event is Carla Harris from Morgan Stanley. Carla is a leader and author, as well as being an accomplished singer. She will provide pearls of wisdom and discuss career growth in finance.

Further, we will host the roundtable event, Top Women in Finance, which will present a thought-provoking discussion by accomplished women in various areas of finance and the most relevant issues they come across in their careers. Our experts, Mary Allen Garrett from Merrill Lynch, Brie Williams from State Street, and Linda-Eling Lee from MSCI, will explore the issues of diversity in the financial industry and how it makes a perfect business sense.

APRIL 2018 | INVESTORS FIRST MONTH

Why Trust Matters

Trust is the bedrock that supports our financial markets and underpins the investment management industry. Our third investor trust survey examines changing investor expectations and how a new generation of investors and new investment tools are affecting the nature of trust. Investors have a strong level of trust in the financial system overall, and trust in the industry has increased slightly. Nonetheless, challenges remain. Investor expectations are high and there are gaps between what investors want and what the industry delivers.
