Educators Rising. There's power in teaching
Hi <<First Name (Required)>>,

Things are heating up — and we’re not just talking about the weather! April is an exciting month for our rising educators, so take a minute to learn more about what’s going on and how you can get involved.

Get Ready

Are you graduating this year? Graduation cords are currently available for purchase in the Educators Rising online store. Wear these cords to showcase your Educators Rising pride and be recognized as the awesome rising educator that you are. Graduation will be here before you know it, so order your cords today.

For all seniors who are planning to attend college next year, applications for our Prospective Educator Scholarships are due by 5 p.m. ET on Monday, April 2. There are more than 30 unique scholarship opportunities available, so if you've started or thought about starting an application, be sure to submit it by the deadline!

Get Involved

The early bird deadline to register for the 2018 Educators Rising National Conference is also coming up on Monday, April 23, so if you want to save on registration, you'll need to do so before then. Also, if you plan to compete at nationals in Orlando, remember that there are two steps required that must be completed by April 23, too. (Anyone who applies after that date will not be allowed to compete.)
  1. Register to attend the conference.
  2. Sign up for on-site scheduling and submit all required materials. If you're not sure what's required, download this handy checklist and use it to make sure you're all set for Orlando!

Get Connected

We're teaming up with Student Voice during National Student Leadership Week (April 15–21), a week dedicated to recognizing the vital role of student leaders, to host a Twitter chat about the need for students to step up and contribute their voices to important dialogues. Mark your calendar for 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 19, and be sure to join the #StuVoiceChat then and share your thoughts!

Best,
Educators Rising Staff
