Consultation: Williamson Square

Liverpool City Council, together with Liverpool BID Company and Everyman & Playhouse, are hosting a two month public consultation on what should be done to breathe new life into this historic square, originally laid out in 1745.

On Tuesday 17th April, Liverpool social enterprise PLACED are running the last of three consultation events in the square, and we’d encourage you to have your say over how Williamson Square could benefit you.

Event: Heritage on the Dock

Thursday 5th – Sunday 8th April. Family friendly activities celebrating 172 years of Albert Dock history and heritage, including guided walks, storytelling workshops, and live performances. More information at Visit Liverpool.

Road works continue on Park Lane

The redevelopment of Park Lane, between the John Lewis car park and the Baltic Triangle, continues until 18th April, as a new gas main is fitted and the highway is improved.

First cruise liner of the year

Liverpool will play host to almost 60 ships this cruise season, including two visits from Cunard ships Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth in May and July, and the return of Disney Magic in September.

But kicking the season off, we have Fred Olsen’s Black Watch, arriving Thursday 26th April.

Liverpool’s cruise terminal brings more than 100,000 international visitors right into the heart of the city every year, and industry surveys consistently praise the friendly welcome that visitors receive in Liverpool.
