Welcome to our Easter newsletter for

'Children of the Eucharist'

'Never let anything so fill you with pain or sorrow so as to make you forget the JOY of the RISEN Lord'

– St. Teresa of Calcutta

Dear friends,

As the earth springs into bloom, may it remind us of the resurrection of Jesus.

'Mary of Magdala went and announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord,” and what he told her' - John 20:18

St. Mary Magdalene was a servant to the bitter end.  She loved and served Jesus and witnessed to His resurrection. We do well to love and serve Jesus as well, even in times of distress, even if all seems lost. We never know when Jesus will turn our sorrow to joy or our disappointment to victory. Let us proclaim the good news first proclaimed by Mary Magdalene, that Jesus is risen from the dead, and maintain our trust in Him as Lord!  St. Mary Magdalene, pray for us!

Wishing each one of you a grace-filled Holy Week and a very blessed and joy-filled Easter!

May the Risen Lord fill you with His pervading presence and make you His instrument of peace and new life!

United in the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts,
Antoinette

Come to Adoration

Come to adoration, Give Jesus all your fears,

let it be His love that wipes away your tears.

Come to adoration. You will feel His Presence there, waiting in the Monstrance,

His peace He wants to share.

Come to adoration. Leave everything at His feet,

He will intercede for you, and all your needs He'll meet.

Come to adoration. Where each visit is unique,

you'll receive more than you can give, if you commit to one hour a week.

Come to adoration, and know that you are loved,

each encounter holds a precious gift just for you from God above.

Come to adoration, don't leave the gift unwrapped,

open it and feel His Presence, I promise, you will never look back.

Come to adoration, for all your choices to discern,

in the quiet of your heart, the truth you will learn.

Come to adoration. Listen to His voice, your questions will be answered,

but your free will makes the choice.

Come to adoration. You will find your treasure there,

then tell all your friends about it, this gift is given to be shared.

Beyond the Veil

The theme of our last 40 hours retreat In January was 'Beyond the Veil'.

The old covenant laws regarding the Temple and the priesthood were numerous. Commandments relating to the Temple cannot be observed nowadays, because the physical Temple does not exist any longer. When the Temple (also referenced as the Tabernacle) was in existence, it had 3 parts to it – the outer court, the inner court, and the Holy of Holies (also referenced as the Holiest of all). No one could enter the Holy of Holies except the High Priest; and even he only entered once a year on Yom Kippur (the day of atonement) with great reverence.

The Holy of Holies was where the Ark of the Covenant was kept.   The Holy of Holies was separated from the Holy Place with a thick veil, whose purpose was to hide, separate and divide sinful man from the presence of the most Holy God. In fact anyone entering this place, besides the High Priest, who had gone through a cleansing ritual before, and on the Day of Atonement, would be struck dead immediately by God.

When our Lord was crucified, as He died, the temple veil was torn from top to bottom, by a supernatural act. It was extremely thick and 60 ft high and torn from top to bottom. It was 30 ft wide and 1 inch thick. It needed an army to put it up. No man could tear a thing like that.

The fact that is was torn from top to bottom again points to a supernatural act of God.  This amazing miracle now left the Holy of Holies open and exposed for all to see and enter in.

Hebrews 6:19-20
'This we have as an anchor of the soul, sure and firm, which reaches into the interior behind the veil, where Jesus has entered on our behalf as forerunner, becoming high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek'.

Hebrews 10:19-22
'Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which be hath consecrated for us, through the, veil, that is to say, his flesh.'

The COTE Beyond the Veil retreat  in Knock was  a power house of prayer and healing, before the Holy of Holies, the most Blessed Sacrament of Jesus unveiled in the Eucharist, where our hearts were transformed in His presence and in the intimacy of His Most Sacred Heart.

Letters from Children of the Eucharist

We don't often receive feedback from the children when we do this work so, when we do, as in this case, it really lifts our hearts and confirms we need to continue doing, what we are doing!  Each of us are planting tiny Mustard Seeds and helping these little souls to come to know the truth!  So never lose heart and always trust in the Good Lord!!!!

These beautiful letters were written by 6th Class students, after a visit from Antoinette to their class in January, to help prepare them for the Sacrament of Confirmation.  Many of these girls have since returned to mass on Sunday!  Praise God!

ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE - SLANE, CO. MEATH

Children of the Eucharist lead the way at the St. Patricks Day parade in the village of Slane, processing after a truly AMAZING float!  Not too surprising; they won the prize for the best float too!!!!  Congratulations and well done to everyone involved!  The dulcet tones of 'Spirito Sancto' filled the streets of Slane, as the children bore witness to the Eucharistic Jesus.  These little disciples will be the future of our church!  Praise God!

These compelling photos were taken during a session of adoration with 2nd class students in Milford, Co. Donegal.  As the children adored the Blessed Sacrament, the sun came out and shone directly on Jesus, drawing everyone ever closer into His Eucharistic Heart.
Invitation to all adults and children!

Come and join us at the 6th Annual Pilgrimage of the Apostolate of Eucharistic Adoration to Knock Shrine which, takes place on Sunday, April 29th 2018.  The main celebrant this year will be his Excellency Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan from the Waterford and Lismore Diocese.  Bishop Phonsie is a great supporter and friend of Children of the Eucharist.

Full children's programme led by 'Children of the Eucharist' available in the Hub from 11:00.  Please be sure to let us know in advance, if you are bringing a group of children.  Please note children will need to supervised by their parents / leaders at all times, for safeguarding purposes.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Antoinette visited a confirmation class in Abbeyknockmoy, Co. Galway in February.  Just as she reached at the school gate, a local couple also arrived with a pair of doves, to show the children.  It was such amazing timing and as if the Holy Spirit had arrived Himself!

Everyone was amazed, most especially the children!  It was such an anointed day and a powerful session of adoration with both classes!  Praise God!

Prayer to protect Ireland from the scourge of abortion

Lord Jesus, you are the Divine Physician, and the source of all life and health. Guide our Politicians at this critical time. Give them the humility to know that they are servants, not masters.  Give them the wisdom to realise that every life has equal value.  Give them the strength to resist the idea that some lives can be sacrificed to save others, or that killing the unborn is part of health care.  Please give your people the courage to speak up and to hold public officials accountable for their actions.  In the Most Holy Name of Jesus, and through the intercession of Our Lady of the Most Holy Eucharist, save Ireland from the sin and crime of abortion (say 3 times). Amen.
