This month on 4, 11 and 18 April Tim Casson and I are running Technique Exchange at Chisenhale Dance Space.
10:30am-noon, £4 per class, no booking required
Technique Exchange is curated by Kitty Fedorec, it's an attempt to open up the standard structures of a professional dance class. Our sessions will offer professional classes that consist entirely of games and playful activities.
Having been working with games in our practices in different ways for the past few years, Tim and I have recently started to collaborate; sharing, testing and refining dance based and choreographic games, developing their independent practices and creating their own ongoing investigative practice; PlayDance.
Come along for some or all of them.

Issue 2 of STILL LIFE is now available to order (links below). It's 68 pages of interviews, texts and images about relationships and configurations in which one person is still while others are not. Or where one person is passive and others are active.
It features 'The Nurses', in which Old Fool RN, Yuki and Dakota reflect on handling patients; 'Less Habitual Grip', a text by Emma Bäcklund; 'The Dominatrix', an interview with Killpussy about lift and carry. 'Rape Culture and the Duet', a text by Eleanor Sikorski; 'The Dolls', a survey with M Doll, Insanity’s Equilibrium and Kiya K.; and 'A Problematic Performance', an interview with Sara Wookey about Marina Abramović, labour rights and saying no.
People described Issue 1 as "Enlightening, funny, odd and just brilliant to have around", “Deep, soulful, complex, light, fun” and "Brilliantly broad and incisive". You can read it still online at stilllifemag.org
