Monroe County Humane Association- Tails on the Town Gala

Join us for an evening to support animals in our community at our 12th annual fundraising gala! The evening includes a live and silent auction, a buffet dinner, specialty cocktails, music and dancing!  All to support our work of protecting, advocating, and educating for animal welfare in our community. "The O'Bannon Institute is Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington's annual signature event that brings focus to community service, service learning, and civic engagement. The O’Bannon Institute is an annual opportunity for the community to come together to discuss topics related to nonprofits, education and political and civic service." This year's keynote speaker is Michael A. Smerconish who is known as being a broadcast program host for SiriusXM Channel 124 and CNN, newspaper columnist, and New York Times best selling author.

Harmony School invites the community to our 38th Annual Harmony School Golf Outing. This event is perfect for business teams, families, and people of all ages! All proceeds from the event support the Miles Kanne Scholarship Fund for Harmony students which distributed over $20,000 in scholarships to students in 2017 and since 1980 has provided over $600,000 in scholarships. The event will feature a raffle with over $5,000 worth of prizes, refreshments (featuring Sun King Beer) throughout the events, and a luncheon. Sponsorship opportunities available! Team fees are $600 per foursome, which covers green fees, carts, breakfast, refreshments, lunch and one raffle entry per player. Visitors and patrons are vitally important to WonderLab and the visitor services staff is the first to greet and interact with the public for all point of sale and visitor information services. The Visitor Services Assistant will work directly with visitors and with visitor services and museum staff and volunteers.

BCCF is seeking a new leader who will build upon our past successes and grow the organization to new levels. Our current executive is retiring and the Board of Trustees wants to build upon the foundation established in our successful 25 years’ history.
The ideal candidate will have the following: • Be a dynamic and engaging communicator • A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing complex environments • Proven leadership abilities and skills in managing people, fi nances, and administrative responsibilities • Experience working with community based organizations with preference given to those with applied experience in community foundations • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in not-for-profi t fundraising, fund development and grant writing • Experience in preparation and management of an annual budget and supervising a small administrative staff • A solid understanding of best philanthropic practices as defined by the National Standards for U. S. Community Foundations • Successful experience working with a volunteer Board of Directors/Trustees • A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or equivalent degree
