Hello, Volunteers and Social Media Ambassadors!

I’m Stephanie Truax, Volunteer Services Coordinator for the Austin Public Library. I was glad to appear on APL's Facebook Live recently to share with the Austin community how you can volunteer at the Library. Here's the video, in case you missed it!

Something I don't want you to miss is a new event series that will open to the general public in 2018. It's called APL After Dark, a chance for you to experience our Central Library downtown after normal operating hours. Enjoy adult drinks and music while taking in the amazing downtown Austin views from the Central Library's rooftop garden.

Before the Central Library opened last October, we organized a sneak preview of the building for your social media. Now we have another sneak preview just for you, our Social Media Ambassadors and Volunteers! Join us for APL After Dark before it opens to the general public and get a taste of the Austin nightlife at the Library. There will be a cash bar, but we will distribute a limited number of FREE drink tickets on site. You won't be able to resist sharing pictures, posts, tweets, grams, hearts, likes and reactions on your social media accounts. In fact, we urge you to do that using #APLambassador (as usual) and #APLafterdark. You're also welcome to share the photo embedded in this email. Just tap, save and share. Mark your calendars:
